How To Find The Ark
Access
Access to The Ark Theatre is via the Civic Car Park, Elstree Way, Borehamwood, WD6 1WA, just look out for The Ark gate. Parking for drivers is free from 6.30pm. There is no pedestrian or car access for theatregoers via Thrift Farm Lane other than for disabled patrons who can book allocated bays outside the theatre in advance. Once parked there is ramp access to the front door from the main pathway.
By Car
From A1 North or South
- Leave A1 motorway at Borehamwood.
- Exit onto A5135
- Turn right to stay on A5135
- Turn left at A5135 / Elstree Way
- Cross 2 mini roundabouts
- At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto B5378/Shenley Rd
- The Civic Centre Car park is on the right hand side
- Enter the car park and head to the far left hand side where you will see The Ark gate.
From Shenley
- Head south on B5378/London Rd toward Harris Ln
- Turn right at B5378/Woodhall Ln
- Continue to follow B5378
- Go straight over two mini roundabouts
- The Civic Centre Car park is on the left hand side
- Enter the car park and head to the far left hand side where you will see The Ark gate.
Public Transport
Bus
Getting to The Ark by public transport could not be easier. Borehamwood is well served by busses from Edgware, Radlett, Watford, Barnet, Stanmore and St. Albans amongst others. Many buses stop outside the Civic Centre, just meters away from The Arks main entrance, located at the far end of the car park. Elstree and Borehamwood station is located a short walking distance from the venue. We have even included a handy link to Walkit.com to help show you the way. The service into Elstree and Borehamwood is run by First Capital Connect, but is also part of the London Overground system and trains run from London and Luton.
